Shipping Fund

BSD Fund is working with Free Geek, hardware vendors and individuals in the community, to ship new and used hardware to developers in the BSD community.

Shipping Fund Rules

Only donated hardware qualifies for BSD Fund Shipping.

Preference will be given to hardware that passes through the public OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD want lists.

Preference will be given to shipments of under $50 until additional funds are raised.

Shipping Fund Steps

1. The donor and the receiving project member should arrange for the donation.
2. The receiving project member should mail shipping at bsdfund dot org from their @*bsd.org account with a request to reimburse the donor for shipping, the nature of the shipment, the estimated cost and the name and e-mail address of the donor.
3. Upon approval, the shipment should be made and reimbursement will be made by check in US Dollars upon presentation of a scan of the shipping receipt send to shipping at bsdfund dot org by the donor.

Contact shipping at bsdfund dot org to send a receipt by fax, to receive reimbursement electronically, to receive a receipt for the hardware itself or for any other special arrangements.

If you are already contributing code or have a limited budget, a referral to a sympathetic employer or philanthropist can be priceless. Such potential donors can contact dexter at bsdfund dot org for more information about this and other BSD Fund efforts.

BSD Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible within the limitations of U.S. federal income tax laws.
